Each badge is unique to an account and has 2 important parts to it:

  • An open standard digital signature that lets anyone, anywhere, anytime verify your identity -- no proprietary codes, no involvement with FindMeOn.com
  • A web badge/link unique to FindMeOn.com -- we use that id to broadcast your other identities and text to back to your badge. You only place your badge 1x, but you manage what is shown on it through FindMeOn.com

Step 3 - Enter in some profile information

We offer a standardized 'profile' that aggregates the most popular profile elements from all of the networking / blogging / dating sites.

You enter/edit information centrally on FindMeOn.com, then decide which accounts can see which profile elements.

Your profile information is then shared with ( at your discrection ):
  • People who look at your FindMeOn.com profile
  • Networks that you tie your FindMeOn.com profiles to. This lets you manage your profile on FindMeOn, and syndicate the information so all your online profiles are always up-to-date.
Coming Soon: import profile information from existing accounts & manage multiple profile sets. We also make your profile available in standardized formats so you can tell other websites can update against your centralized identity.

Step 4 - Use the internet like you normally do

That's pretty much it. Occasionally you'll come across another FindMeOn.com member. Our web badges will help you derive a relationship to that person across different social networks-- and you might just find out that you're reading a blog written by your college roommate's high school girlfriend's brother.
