FindMeOn.com authors and maintains the findmeon node structure standard, a open standard to assert and verify ownership over online elements. FindMeOn also maintains the opensn format, an intermediary profile storage format designed to allow quick standardization and rewriting of online profile formats. The findmeon node structure and opensn format are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works 2.5 License.

FindMeOn.com is a commercial implementation of the open findmeon standard, with a loads of bells and whistles tossed in.

findmeon.org is a repository of the findmeon standard specification as well as open source tools to aid in implementation.
